1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name, business name, email address, phone and WhatsApp number, postal and shipping addresses, and country.
  • Business and verification details: tax ID, RNC, resale certificate or business registration and the documents you upload to prove them, your role in the business, and any references we ask for.
  • Reyder Bids account details: your sign-in email, your password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form that we cannot read), your alert and notification settings, and your acceptance of our terms.
  • Buying information: what you buy or want to buy (models, grades, quantities and markets), bids and maximum bids, watchlists, quotes, orders, invoices, payment records, shipping and pickup arrangements, claims and returns.
  • Messages: what you send us by WhatsApp, email, our website contact form or phone, including text, photos, videos, voice notes and documents, and our replies.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit, collected by our servers and hosting providers.
  • Account activity on Reyder Bids: sign-ins, bids, account changes and similar events, which we keep to secure accounts, prevent fraud and resolve disputes.
  • Message status from WhatsApp, such as whether a message was delivered or read.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies and analytics).

Information from others

  • Meta: when you contact us on WhatsApp, Meta provides your WhatsApp profile name and number. If you reached us by tapping one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, Meta may also tell us which ad you clicked, for example its ID and headline.
  • Business partners and public sources: trade references, shipping carriers and freight forwarders, banks and payment providers, and public sources such as business registries, when we review an account or complete an order.

2. How we use information

  • To reply to your messages and questions and connect you with the right salesperson.
  • To review and approve business accounts, verify identity and resale or tax-exempt status, and set bidding and credit limits.
  • To run Reyder Bids auctions: show lots, take and process bids, determine winners, and send outbid, winning, invoice and other notices.
  • To prepare quotes, process orders, invoices and payments, and arrange shipping or pickup.
  • To handle claims, returns and disputes, using records such as manifests, IMEI records, photos, videos and delivery evidence.
  • To send messages about your account, bids and orders and, where the law allows, news about inventory and auctions. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
  • To understand which of our ads and channels work and to improve our websites and services.
  • To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, non-payment, security incidents and breaches of our terms.
  • To meet legal, tax, accounting, export and regulatory obligations, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.

Legal bases

Where laws such as the EU or UK GDPR or Brazil's LGPD apply, we rely on: performing a contract with you, or taking steps you ask for before one; our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business, such as preventing fraud and improving our services, balanced against your rights; complying with our legal obligations; and your consent where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time.

3. Automated WhatsApp assistant

When you message us on WhatsApp, an automated assistant may reply on our behalf. It uses an artificial intelligence service to read your messages and write replies, and it asks a few questions so we can pass you to the right person.

Anything the assistant says is for information only. It is not an offer, a price quote or a commitment; only a written quote or invoice from our team, or a Reyder Bids result, binds us. A member of our sales team can see the conversation and take over at any time, and you can ask to talk to a person. If you ask, the assistant will tell you it is automated. Decisions about account approval, credit and orders are made by our staff, not by the assistant.

4. How we share information

We share personal information only as described below.

Service providers

These companies process information for us, only as needed to provide their services:

  • Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform, Facebook and Instagram), to send and receive messages and to run our ads.
  • Odoo S.A. (Odoo.sh), which hosts the business software where we keep customer records, conversations, orders and invoices.
  • Anthropic, PBC, the AI service our automated assistant uses to write replies. Under its commercial terms it processes this content to provide the service to us and does not use it to train its models.
  • Vercel and other cloud hosting, database, file storage and email providers that run our website and Reyder Bids.
  • Shipping carriers, freight forwarders, banks, payment processors, accountants and auditors, when needed to complete an order or meet our obligations.

Other disclosures

  • Affiliates: companies under common ownership with Reyder that help us serve you, under this policy.
  • Legal and safety: when the law requires it, to respond to lawful requests from authorities, to enforce our terms, to collect amounts owed, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Reyder, our customers or others.
  • Business transfers: as part of a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, with this policy continuing to apply.
  • With your direction or consent.

We may also share information that has been combined or de-identified so it no longer identifies you.

5. International transfers

We are based in the United States. We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live. When we transfer information, we protect it as described in this policy and as applicable law requires.

6. How long we keep information

  • Contact, account and conversation records: while we have a business relationship with you, and afterwards for as long as needed to answer follow-up questions, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
  • Bids, orders, invoices, payments, tax-exemption and export records: for as long as tax, accounting and other laws require, generally up to seven years after the transaction, or longer while a claim or dispute is open.
  • Website and security logs: for a limited period, unless we need them to investigate a security problem.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous. Backup copies are overwritten on a regular cycle.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Access and correction: ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your information. See our Data Deletion Instructions. We may keep information the law requires us to keep, or that we need for an open order, an unpaid balance or a dispute.
  • Messages: to stop WhatsApp messages, tell us in the chat that you no longer want to hear from us, or block our number in WhatsApp. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link or contact us. We may still send messages about your active bids, orders, invoices and account.
  • Other rights: depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom, Brazil, the Dominican Republic or some U.S. states), you may also have the right to receive a copy of your information in a portable format, to object to or restrict certain uses, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email sales@reyderenterprises.com or message us on WhatsApp at +1 407-842-0377. We may ask you to confirm the request from the phone number or email address we have on file. Someone you authorize may make a request for you if we can verify their authority. We aim to respond within 30 days, and always within the time the law requires. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

8. Cookies and analytics

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies that they need to work, for example to keep you signed in to Reyder Bids, protect your session and remember your language. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits and measures performance without cookies that track you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies on our websites.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block cookies that are needed, parts of Reyder Bids will not work.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, such as encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access limited to the staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

10. Business customers and children

Our services are for businesses and people acting for a business. They are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Data stored on devices

This policy covers information about our customers and contacts. It does not cover data that a previous user may have left on a device we buy or sell. Buyers must erase devices before using, reselling or disposing of them, as our Terms of Service explain.

12. Other websites and services

Our websites and messages may link to other sites and services, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, carriers and freight forwarders. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, if the changes are significant, give additional notice, for example on Reyder Bids or by message.

14. Language

This policy is published in English and Spanish. If the versions differ, the English version controls.
